any vauxhall experts.....oil pump drive question
we have a 51 plate vauxhall comdo 1.7dti van which developed a strange noise from the cambelt area.....on inspection we found the nut that holds the oil pump drive pulley in place had worked loose....tightened it up and it came loose again 100 miles or so later....since then we have been tightening up everyday for the last week.
But now it wont fully tighten, hope its not stripped!!!! but have also noticed that the amount of visible thread has increased by about 2mm....we are a bit baffled so are hoping someone on here might know what the crack is

u have to replace the pump, pulley and nut and the cambelt i personally change the tensioner and roller as well its straight forward to do u have to use sealant as well as some gaskets when u use the sealant be careful not to cover up the small pressure releif hole in the pump otherwise it will piss out dont drop the sump no need no take out the 2 studs u will see when u do the job
