Default Cossie Speedo problems??

I have an escort cossie that i bought from richie russ, it has the harvey gibbs 430 bhp engine in it and its a credit to him.

Just wondering if any one can shed some light on my speedo problem, it feels like the speedo cant keep up with the acceleration of the car!!! and wen it gets to 130 mph (on a private road!!) the speedo seems to be a bit jerky and seems to give up the ghost. Just wondering if any one als has noticed this on their car??

Cheers
Andy

u mean the speedo sensor? my speedo was jerky at first then died, it's the plastic pin in the speedo sensor (on the O/S/F drive shaft housing) which spins the cable that broke. Got a new one, and the pin is now metal, but the bad news is it cost 105 pounds

Think i will put up with it as it is before i pay £105 LOL. Might look into a new cable first and see how it goes from there.

Cheers for the replies
