You can hide it in the heater box.

on the fuelling side you need the engine bay loom and injector/fuel pump relays (yellow ones) from the rs turbo and plumb the loom in like this...

Pic coutesy of Rab from when I did mine all those years ago

I can't remember how to wire in the ECU off the top of my head but I think it's on this same loom...

ive done this conversion to my estate and my combi and both times ive used an efi xr3i loom and its actually easier than you might think, easily done in a day and as said already will be neater and ecu will have its own cradle in the car behind the heater so nice and neat and not seen either

i converted the gfs mfi cab to efi using an efi loom aswell and as said its alot neater althou the prob i had was fixing wireing probs as it was from a breakers and whoever crashed it before it got scrapped decided to cut alot of wires up!!

A mate had an mfi cab he fitted an efi turbo engine in and all they did was wire in a fez turbo loom by just connecting certain wires to the batt and 1 of them to the ignition live!! they were the wires on the multi plug u disconnect the loom from.

90 spec mk4 xr3i's had the efi engines- thats the loom you want
its a straight swap then a few little changes and your car is efi turbo ready.
