Default * HELP Fitting a new clutch & full service *

Morning again everyone. Hope you and your motors are OK. I know I have raised this subject before and asked the question but I'm pretty desperate as my clutch is slipping a lot. Also I've noticed that's sometimes when in neutral, the car starts to rev itself and it makes a ticking noise which be not noticed before. Also I would link to give the car a full service as its been a while so I'm wandering if I got the parts, is there anyone pretty local wh could do both for me. Happy to pay and lend an extra pair of hands. Cheers again

You have posted this on so many forums and over the 2 years that you have asked, no one has come over and done it. Why are you so against getting a garage to do it?

I think part of the problem is that it appears that you are not involved in any of the clubs in an active way so it may help if you got involved with a club so that people know who you are - you could be an "Internet wierdo" (doesn't help that you are posting on every Ford Forum) and then people may be more willing to help. At the moment it is coming across that you are just trying to get free labour, or very cheap labour

I'd much rather take it to a garage and take my chances than have some internet oddball come round. If it gets fucked up atleast you can go back to the garage

I have put it on a few forums simply because different people are on different sites. I'm not totally against a garage doing it, just thought I would try on the forums first, if you don't ask you dont get. I was told my cutch was slipping years ago but I couldn't notice anything but thought I would ask anyways, if/when time would come to change it. Its only last few months its been getting worse. I appreciate that I'm not involved or an active member in that I don't attend meetings or car shows which is a shame as I can't think of a better way to spend a day, just one of those things. I only post threads on information I actually know which s very little and I'm not one of those who likes to comment on every single thing. Im not on Facebook or Twitter simply as it don't interest me and I can't see point of posting random comments about random things or making everything public. I have opinions yes but I like to keep them to myself. I admit at the beginning I was chancing my arm in trying to get it done for free but I think that was obvious and again if you don't ask you don't get. A few did actually offer their services for gratis but unfortunately was way to far for me to travel which is why I specified as local as possible and when i posted the thread again, i did say i was willing to pay. There is someone who charges £20 an hour labour and when you think most charge 3 times that now, over a few hours, the difference is obvious. Maybe you can understand my point in asking around.

Not trying to be offensive but even if my sister said my cars clutch is slipping and it needs a service she'd be getting the same price as every other Fooker albeit with the parts at a trade price. You'd have to be mad to do all that for nothing, though if u can find someone fair play to u and put them my way and I'll give them a job
