Default Window Tinters in Bristol/South West

Morning. Just wondering if any of you guys have attempted to tint your own windows using film & if so, have you got any suggestions or tips to make it easier only I tried doing mine yesterday & to say it didn't come out well is in understatement. I followed the instructions but when it came to offering the film against the outside to trim, no joy as the solution base to keep it wet kept drying out even though the weather was cloudy. I know you will probably say get it done professionally but I can't justify those prices even though its the time & skill your paying fir,. The film only cost £5 so thought was worth a go but when I removed it completely, the window was covered in dry streak/run marks from the solution. I guess you got to be quick when applying it. I'm thinking maybe make up some cardboard templates & cut the film indoors? Any suggestions or names orpf anyone appreciated as always. Thanks.
