Circuit Day for only £85 - Cadwell 29/11
Got to be one of the cheapest dates around
But don't let the price fool you, these events are usually very well organised and Cadwell Park is one hell of a good circuit.

Cadwell.... carts ?
Not really Martini, It's part of the brands hatch group of tracks and is deffinatly one of the most picturesque circuits in this country IMHO.
Okay so we wouldn't go there for its looks alone - with a 2.17 mile full curcuit (the trackdays use the club circuit @ 1.47 miles). Its fast and flowing, with a long enough straight to open up full throttle on most cars
The track days sadly miss out "the mountain" which is a steep (in terms of race tracks) climb and large crest
But being a proper full race circuit - tucked away in Linconshire its got all the usual facilities and is well worth a visit for only £85

took a ride up to cadwell this afternoon for a look.

My mate was driving peeps around in that mk1 golf gti.
Shame about the weather, not much fun spectating in all that wind and rain.

I took it out over the dinner time period when it was proper persisting it down, and the track was flooded in places. Great fun on when your on slicks At least the track was empty - just 6 of us out - and the others all had wets on
Top driving by Adam too we had about 5 laps behind that thundersaloon he's posted pics of - it couldn't get away from us - just kept reeling him in on all the bends - and then it would be off again on the straights
Car dropped onto 3 cylinders just before close of play looks like a plug has gone kaput and gone high resistance.
c6mby - was waiting all day for you to show up m8 Next time maybe
All in all a top day with some valuable milage on the car.

saw the last lap or two ,what happend at the hairpin just before you lost a plug. much tooo much speed me thinks, but good last minute reactions to aviod any embarrasment.
Anyway nice to meet you both and i'll look out for you at future events and good luck with the tour.

In the wet earlier me and my mechanic Barry were doing it spot on - I was driving and he was on the brake..... Perfect Got to be careful though as you can get black flagged for it on track-days, and the hairpin was right in front of the marshals
Steve (& c6mby) - get yours out on track next time It looked a VERY nice and clean motor

I was driving and Tony advised to use the handbrake for the hairpin , bit too early and the fooker just locked up as I just started turning the wheel , couple of flicks and we were going straight again, so laughed our bollocks off and handed Tony the driving seat, and promptly broke it . Hope it aint bad m8.
Cheers for the driving comments , I really enjoyed it and gained loads of experience on a really difficult circuit.
ROFL .............. Flat out on straight, and EVERY time you grab 5th, you hit the "jump" - FOOK ME, keep it nailed then brake about 200 yards after the braking boards .
Really enjoyed the circuit, and it has given me great enthusiasm to get my MK1 XR2 finished for track use

thats how i'd like to keep it, there's no way i'd keep up with the likes of you i'd be scared of bending it and as i said at Cadwell, its a family car and the only one i have at the mo'.
Between you two, the toyota wrc and that guy in the white suzuki swift (???) it was fun to watch you at the hairpin, everyone else took it sooo slow it was as if they were taking their grannys for a sunday drive out.
look forward to next year and i'll look out for you guys again and i'd like to see Adam in his mk1 XR2 out on track.
i also took some video of the event but i cant connect to my pc yet as i've not got a lead for it yet, hope to get one at the w/e and try and get some piccies up.
thanks again guys.
