FordClub.co.uk Tour 2014 - Charity drive for 'Help for Heroes'

About us
Fordclub.co.uk was founded in March 2012 as a helpful and friendly place for ford enthusiasts to get together and share their passion for their cars, regularly meeting for local and national shows around the UK.
This year for the first time we have decided to put a bit of that goodwill to good use, and are running a charity drive for 'Help for Heroes'.
The Drive
The drive will take place from the 31st July until the 3rd August 2014 and cover approx 600 miles over 3 days, with the final day being at Ford Fair 2014 taking place at Silverstone.
The Route
The first leg of the journey will commence in York at 10am on the 31st July and proceed to Edinburgh south, approx 190 miles away where we will rest for the night.
The second leg continues again at 10am from the stop over point to the Wirral approx 230 miles away, for the second night.
The final leg on the 2nd August journeys on to our destination and our final overnight stay just south of Northampton approx 160 miles away and 15 miles from Silverstone.
During the first 2 legs of the journey there will be a number of challenges with points being awarded to the teams at the end of each day, the challenges are a bit of fun and I must stress that it is NOT a race. We will also have a few other fun awards for the teams that deserve a special mention, whether it be good or bad its up to you to decide if you want to be naughty or nice!. On the final night we will be holding an awards ceremony to present trophies to the winning teams.
The Cost
The entry fee is £49 per team/car (this is donated to 'Help for Heroes'), plus an extra £16pp (under 14's go free) for entrance to Ford Fair 2014. Upon completion and acceptance of the booking form, this is made payable by Paypal to our club account. Payment by cheque / cash can also be arranged by request.
This is the only fee that we require for you to take part, other costs such as hotels, fuel and refreshments are at your own expense.
We do propose to make our stop overs each night at a Premier Inn, therefore may secure a discount or the ability to reserve a number of rooms. The starting and finishing points each day will be at these hotels.

- York South West - YO23 3PP on the 30th July for those wanting to stay the night before as this will be the starting point, it has a Pre-Pay price of £35 per double room (as at 13th Jan 2014)
- Stop over 31st July 2014 at Dalkeith - EH18 1AN, this has a price of £89 per double room (as at 13th Jan 2014)
- Stop over on 1st August 2014 at Heswall - CH60 3SD, this has a Pre-Pay price of £35 per double room (as at the 13th Jan 2014)
- For the final night on the 2nd August 2014 at Northampton South - NN4 7JJ, prices are £60 per double room (as at 13th Jan 2014)
The Rules
- The car that you take on the tour MUST be a Ford, whether it be a £200 banger or an expensive RS
- Under 12's are not permitted
- Your car MUST be roadworthy and have a Valid MOT
- All drivers of the car must have a valid licence and full insurance to drive it.
