Ace cafe saturday 21st July 6pm onwards
We need competition and interesting road cars to display, in fact any type of vehicle to create interest. We had a good evening there last year and have been invited back on this evening. Call Guy Anderson to get more details on guya@mcac.co.uk or Andrew Williamson on andreww@mcac.co.uk.
Brooklands Museum:
Sunday, July 22nd, The Brooklands Society’s 45th Annual Reunion. Help!! - Brooklands Society are doing Test Hill in the morning and from 2:30 to 3:30pm they are doing a Calvalcade. Over blue bridge, onto the MB World Railway Straight, out down Brooklands Drive (to MBW Security) down Sopwith Drive on the Tescos Banking, looping back and back across to the Community Park, through the gates on the Byfleet Banking, looping around, coming back through the 2 gates, back down Sopwith Drive, up Wellington Way, onto the Brooklands Road and back in via the Campbell Gate. A bit of a late call but they need as much help as possible. Please let Donna Hopton, Events Manager & Groups Visits for Brooklands Museum Trust Limited, know if you can assist. Tel: 01932 857381 Ext 253 or by email events@brooklandsmuseum.com. Visit their web-site www.brooklandsmuseum.com
Simply Sideways Autosolo 5th August:
The second Simply Sideways Autosolo again takes place on the open spaces of Bovingdon airfield. Following on from last year’s successful event this one is aimed primarily at drivers new to Autosolos. And, if you don’t know what an Autosolo is - it is an all forwards motorsport event where you have at least 3 runs at each test layout with the slowest time dropped from your total time. To help the driver follow the correct course there are pointer cones showing which side of the main cone to pass. Usually the drivers also get a turn at being marshals which makes it a busy day for everybody. For more info contact Peter Cox on 01488 72027. Regs and Entry Form available for download now.
