working on it got the underside clean just got to get the electric polisher out and do the rest. still waiting for the wheels to come back so i can get it out the garage and get some pics up on our site.

Blimey the wheels are taking a while then? Top quality job that will be! I look forward to seeing it mate!!! Think im going to give mine a polish and wax in the garage this week, also got to fit me flaps clean the inside of my wheels whilst there off, give me calipers another coat of paint, fit me undertray, and wind deflectors, get me engine mounts changed. Should keep me out of trouble!

I did tell them i was in no rush for them back, I got my flaps fitted last week with a bit of luck they should stop some of the stonechips down the side. Have you got a electric polisher? more than welcome to borrow mine of you want

Top job!!! Dont suppose you have any dimensions as im not sure how far to put them up, will be alot higher on the back i think, if i bother with the rears!

Yeah ive tried to avoid the stonechips a bit too late Ill get my paintwork up to scratch and then ill take you up on that kind offer if thats ok matey!

Never been to south lincs. went to north lincs years ago once or twice before I bought my 3 door. think my mate was the secretary or something. used to be run by a hero who had a tigerstriped escort cossie track car. Ive met you before though wayne. was a track day on a cadwell that was advertised on here. I was talking to rsjim and a couple of other south lincs lads. one had a saph. Think he works at Drayton motors as Ive seen it there when picking up our lasses dads new kia 4x4 and an older chap and I think his son. we were all natering by the canteen/clubhouse when you arrived

i didnt put any on the rear mate and just guessed on the front and they look ok. yeah pop round and collect the polisher anytime you want. loads easier getting your paintwork clean with it.

Your right. it was the south lincs chairman not north lincs. i think thats why i ended up going to look at the north lincs club because I thought the guy with the escos was a twat. Think it was year if i remeber right. Ive got pictures so ill chck the date now and tell you shortly

weve not seen they guy with the escort for around 4yrs, he robbed the club and disapeared. I run the club now and its lot more friendly and we have a great bunch of members why dont you pop over to one of our meets.

Deffo not wayne lol. I cant find the pics as im on my laptop. must be on the pc. Anyway im sure it was last year. It was advertised on passionford anyway as a few members turned up from all over the place. Think there was a green mondeo ex touring car type thing. Some lads from liverpool with a clio 172 in red with silver wings. think there may have been a jamsport livered grey series 2 that was going rather well. im on the southlincs website but dont post much as its very quiet there lol. RsGuy on there. wouldt be able to bring my 3 door though as its being pulled apart for a a wrc gasket and arp stud and nut kit and maybe some green injectors and a remap. Think im going to get harvey to check it all over when its done and map it. Then as soon as Ive sold my motorbike when its nearer easter my mate who's excellent at bodywork who has his own garage and also a cossie nut. he's got a 375bhp big turbo escos in mallard and building a mental mark1 as we speak with a nms live mapped 475 bhp engine and fancy box. is going to give it a serious body freshen up, Not that its bad in anyway. was only used for 7 years then Its been dry stored in a garage for 17 years till i got hold of it in june. was my best mates dads and he passed away at the end of last year. he was mad on them. also had a black 32k miler but that got sold to a lad a chesterfield and I kept the white one. Mines only done 70k mind

You wont go wrong with getting harvey to map your car, He has done all mine Yep the southlincs forum can be a bit quiet but we are only a small group but like i said before we have a great bunch of members now. you dont need a rs to attend one of our meets it's very rare anyone brings there rs out but we still have a good crack

Wheres you meetings then?. I know your a fan of harvey. Ive spoke to him a few times. I worked in peterboghorror for quite a while too and he's not a million miles from me. Bloke I worked with knows him personally too and tim. He lives at werrington and has known him years as my mate worked at tc harrison for 20 plus years. does he do live mapping? I know he used to use ahmed didnt he?, Im pretty confident doing the work myself Just obviously the important things i need harvey to do like mapping and

Ill wait while its all done and either pop in in call, Think id rather have it live mapped as I want the engine back in for a bit to run in and iron out ay probpems if they arise. Whats his other methods of mapping then. I know he engine dyno's them. does he do off the shelf so to speak generic remaps

I think he has the ahmed chips but ive only ever had mine done on the dyno.

And yours is spot on is it? You hear so many conflicting stories regarding dnyo mapping etc etc. Some say is fine others say its not real world etc. Im not into chasing power figures just good reliable driveability. its stage 1 and the moment but im planning on keeping my turbo but fitting greens and a group a filter and as mention the new wrc gasket and arp stuff. fancy about 325 but responsive power. not laggy etc. what cars do you have now then wayne. I see you bought a focus rs. last time i spoke with you you had a black 500 with big power if i remember right

Ive never had any probs with any of the engines harvey has built and mapped on the dyno they have all ran fine Have to say though im no expert so i just trust in what harvey does. The black 500 was a nice car but I hated cleaning it so sold it and got a red escort then moved that on and got the focus,
