Stand @ Ford Dunton Supercar Event:Sept 5th

Some of you may recall the Charity ride in a Supercar event at the Top Gear track back in may........... well, it's happening again at a different venue A bit short notice but it's September 5th at Ford's Technical Resarch Centre at Dunton in Essex and the Supercar Rides will be on Ford's test track Some details on the event here......... including links to the Charities website where you can pre-book passenger rides........... http://www.pistonheads.com/news/defa...?storyId=22362 As you can see it's a proper family event with Fun Fair, BBQ & Live Music etc....... all the things you would expect really We are also having display stands for Ford's....... well, it is a Ford venue so why not If you have a Ford you feel is worthy of being on display please post up on this thread what you have and i will direct you to either an existing stand depending on what you've got or if there isn't an existing one we'll create one if we can get enough interest For example as it's all been a bit rushed so we don't yet have a Sapphire Cosworth Stand......... so if enough of those can be found on PF to warrant a stand........ we'll do it This doesn't just apply to Sapphires......... let me know what you've got Even if you don't wish to display come along and enjoy the event and tell your friends about it as it should be a great day out.............. and believe me, the charity is a really worthy one - The Little Havens Childrens Hospice Some track action from last year............ If only there was more notice this could have been a great event,Its definately a great cause and Im sure everyone wishes you great success with it.

Thanks The event will be great as it was last year and there are more attractions and publicity this time around.

Admittedly i'm up against it terms of time for organising Ford stands but i only just got the go ahead for it this week............ granted i could have asked for the go ahead earlier....... but life gets in the way lol

Anyway, even if we only have a small showing for the stands it will be better than none..... and if this plug for the event just brings a few more people through the gates at a very reasonable £5 then that's all good for the cause

I know Trax @ Silverstone is the same day but i'm sure not everyone will be going to that

quite right trax does not appeal to all who own a blue oval,I will certainly mention it on my travels and it should be a good day for you as its a very fair entrance fee

There was an option to apply if you had something suitable............ but this was sometime ago ......... all the places are now allocated.

Think there are something like 60 to 80 cars available and as the event is billed as a Supercar Ride Day the majority are Ferrari's and Lambo's etc............ Gallardo's Murchi's 360's 430's Challenge Stradale's and at least one F40....... you get the idea

But also on the list there are Atom's Cobra's Crossbow's GTR's Nobles Aston's and Ultima's.................. oh, and a Focus RS !! don't know if a discount may apply with that one lol
My own car is on the reserve list so if a few drop out for any reason there may be a 500hp Escort Cosworth there also........... if i can sort out a little problem with it in time

Not much interest from anyone for displaying then lol

Nevermind, that's not the important bit anyway........ as long as anyone that is free is aware of the event and may wish to attend
