everything is ok with the hotel now. With there been a change of managers we have had to make sure with the manager that the meet could still take place. We are hopefull gonna try and get the cars all parked properly unlike last time where they were just dotted about all over. I cant wait now it is hopefully gonna be a good and busy meet.

As Glen Scotch Corner Hotel has been sold[as happend last year!!]! It got sold about a fortnight ago, we have been trying really hard this past couple of weeks to sort out the Ford meets with the new Events Manager. At last they have agreed to the meet, but we have to be very careful.. She is going to cone off the front of the hotel and try and get people who are going to the gym and hotel users to park at the front of the hotel. This should leave us all the rear to our selfs. We have to make sure that we don't block the area around the gym and that there is always a road in and out. To help with this i am putting on a few marshals, please try and cooperate with them and help them.
Also as per normal there has to be no wheel spinning, revving engines, loud music etc. If we don't addear to these we will loose the venue.

we will be having 2 people on the front as you pull into the hotel and a few people walking about to tell you where you can park your car. Please please please if you get asked to move your car please dont take it to heart we dont wanna upset anyone we just dont wanna loose the hotel as the venue.

Well we will have to see what happens arnt we mate. We dont wanna loose the venue cause its so easy to get to. The first meet of the year is always the biggest cause of the mags been there. As long as people enjoy the meets and keep coming back and there is no trouble thats all we are bothered about.

ClassicFord/FastFord will be taking a group photo at the meet, this will be done at 3.30. All been well Autoglym will be at bottom of the fire escape right round the back of the hotel, if everyone could be there for 3.30 it would be a great help.

The importance of behaviour this year is even more paramount New owners need winning over
the sensitive nature of balancing the needs of the Scotch Corner Hotel and making the venue pay , after all a new manager will need convincing that this will not endager the hotels stock and trade ?
Its Regular clientel!
If some complete Ahole in a classic/modern ford ends up wrecking a hotel customer's weekend break or sunday special event or meal in the actual hotel .
Then this will be the end im sure
We need to realise which im sure all of us do
that the event does not get ruined by one or two mindless individuals

This also extends to the roads in the locale ?
After all the Scotch Corner Hotel is a very prestigeous location

sorry for the rant but Glen and i put a lot of effort into these meets and don't wont to lose it.

yeh well said Andy. We dont wanna come across as moany old men lol but we dont wanna loose the venue. Both me and Andy enjoy doing the meets and i hope all of you who have been enjoy it too. If ever someone isnt happy with the meets let us know and we will sort it out. Looking forward to the group photo i think if that will look cool when its in the mag.
