I'm good cheers Dave, you?

Will be some big picture updates coming real soon. It's going off for some blast cleaning at the end of this week and then straight off to paint. Then I can start putting it all back together, which will be nice.

Yeah it's all going well. Working in PR at Jaguar Land Rover now and just bought myself a Noble M12!

Good to see you're still going with this, it's going to be a beast. I keep trying to get Ralph to finish his!

M12's are awesome. Well, when they're working. Guy I work with has one. I love it, but it breaks a lot!

The bodyshop stage is taking a little longer than anticipated, so here are a few progress pics highlighting a few bad points which are being rectified, and everything is being fully seam welded throughout and will all be sealed etc. Also getting rid of any unneccessary brackets, holes etc and smoothing out the engine bay

Little update, just more of the same really. This stage is taking a lot longer than I imagined, but want to get everything just right.

Every last bracket that's not to be used is being removed, and every seam is being welded and/or re-welded and sealed to look as neat as possible.

Also where the new floorpan meets the old, the Escort sills had been manipulated and looked a little scabby and flimsy in places, so no point messing about, cut them out and get some nice new ones put in their place.

Getting there now, just a little more seam welding and strengthening at the rear. Particularly on the turrets, diff supports etc. Also going to make a better, more flush job of the old spare wheel well delete which was done about 8 years ago now to make room for meatier exhausts.

Then it's just moving on up to sort out the roof and straighten all that up ao as it's ready to fit the new carbon skin when the time comes.

Then it should finally be ready for paint

Also been continuing to stockpile parts for the next stages of the build. Doing calculations etc for the Spec C Hawkeye sub frame assemblies, and how they compare dimensionally to the older items that were on the original donor vehicle, so as I can get my nice new wheels on order from Mr. Rainbird.

Never heard of them! I was looking a while back to see if there were any aftermarket subframes available.

Will have a look!

Sorry I've been slow updating this, been very tied up since December!

Shell is out of paint now, FULLY seam welded and strengthened, all seam sealed to look as factory as is realistically and practically possible.

Got a lot of very nice new parts on order for the next stages of the build too, and everything else will also be on the way soon, stripped all the mechanical parts down ready to rebuild, repaint or replace as appropriate.

Not quite, lol!

Still a good 12 months in the build, but things should start to come together now.

It took a long time to get the shell spot on as every time I thought it was ready for paint, I spotted something else which either didn't look right or would be a potential weak spot, but now it's pretty damn perfect (I hope!)

Have stripped all the running gear down ready to prep and paint, have all the suspension components ready to go on, just ordered some nice AP Racing brakes and pedal box and going to order one of those fandango subframes from Frayz' mate and then it's close to be able to get rolling again.

I know the car. James who owns/built it bought my old front brake set up to use on it. Very cool project.

The newer 2.5 or any EJ running equal length headers loses the flat 4 burble, but this engine will still sound very fruity running high comp and anti-lag. Got a very "tight" rally-esque sound

Whos is the white 800+bhp race scooby thing? (a name in the scooby world maybe?) Seen him at Knockhill when I was up there with the recruiting team. His car sounded like a fucking jet engine! The noise of the turbo was ear piercing!

Thats the bad boy!!!

(sorry, off topic) Me and my mate were arguing when we were in afghan, he is a scooby owner and fan, me an ST owner and Ford fan and I said that AG Focos were faster than Roger Clarkes car, he said because the Scoob had the most points he was far better but because of some regs in the class with regards to build AG could not score points but race. And I think AG beat him several times on laptimes. I may very well be wrong.

But my god, got to look at the Scoob and was blown away! Just could not believe the ear piercing sound it made on boost! Couldnt even hear the Scooby burble, just a jet engine.

One proper amazing car to see
