I did consider that but decided against, 500 hp atmo will be enough.

Always wanted one and the time is right so I've took the plunge, I reckon 500hp will be ok but lets see! I still have the Lambo for that kind of madness.

Not sure yet, I have a spare LS1 but the Firenza has a LS2 so really the Camaro needs to be bigger.

Still chipping away at it, the rear air install is all finished and the front is mocked up.

No but by the time they've collected it (its about 500 miles from the port) and other fees it works out at about Ł2200 which I think is cheap enough.

Hell yes, good choice! A '68 Camaro has a slot in my dream garage line up.

The '69 turned a little ugly although I'd be happy with a '67!

if you decide to go old skool engine route I have a 396 which was going to be stroker'd up, I may part with for right amount unless your going to go new drive train route as my bro in law was going to fit my engine in his chevelle until he came accross a 446 hemi

I'd consider supercharging it but have zero interest in turboing it.

Well I've had the Camaro here around 6 weeks, was initially a bit disappointed that the paint job was way nastier than I bargained for and had a sulk for a while but the bonus is that the car is like brand new underneath with no signs of any rust or accident damage, its a very original car but that's about to change!

Like most old yank motors the steering is comedy needing input just to hold it in a straight line, originally I was just going to fit new bushes and shocks and a 12 bolt live rear axle but I've decided it needs to handle properly and with a steering box and 1960's tech suspension it's never going to be great so I'm converting the rear end to independent and have ordered a Detroit Speed front subframe from the states. The rear end will take work to make it fit but was cheap, the front end is the opposite!
