That looks soooo much better with those alloys, and keeps the genuine ford accessories theme going. It'll be mudflaps next?

So with the bigger alloys does that mean we'll be seeing a bigger brake upgrade? RS turbo S2 or RS2000 260mm items? Nice cheap upgrade too.

Go get them! they look spot on with flaps fitted. In case he doesn't have the clamps to fit them, Ford still sell them. 3 clamps per flap!

Good you have done the brakes, I'm not a fan of dwarfed discs behind alloys.

Will you be considering ambers all round at some point?

Haha....picking them up next week at some point. Good to know about the clamps, cheers.

Brakes were already fitted, no I don't like little brakes either.

Got amber side repeaters, just waiting for the indicators coming up at a sensible price. As I want genuine ones.

One of the things that has bugged me since I got the Escort is that I had window switches and winders. Because of the Rs turbo door cards, also the handles were very tatty.

Cheers mate, 195/50/15 tyres on 7" wide wheels. 40mm apex springs, gmax sport shocks (springs were already fitted, but say - 40mm on them).

Some new pics of the Escort after a little out...............Oh, the brakes and tyres are really good! Some stupid idiot in a Vauxhall Mervia pulled out on me, so had to do a emergency stop!!! and she just carried on, totally oblivious to it.

Any way, heres the pic's.

Few tonight after work. First of all, the battery fitted was a 063 40ah & 400 cold crank. The 1.6efi engine should have a 075 60ah 540 cold crank. So got a Bosch S4 battery at a bargain price, also got some Bosch S4 spark plugs. Another job, was to replace the breather pipes as they were past there best. Also changed the crank case breather filter, and cleaned the icv.*

Fires up better now, idles smoother and revs up nicer......just need to take it for a drive at the weekend now. *

Went, for a good drive this morning. Runs much better, and much more responsive.

On another note at 60mph my wobbly steering wheel had come back again, so went to my brothers and got all the wheels rebalanced and checked for buckles. *All ok, but checked front disc's, *and one was warped. So new disc's and pads fitted. *All fine again now.
