hi everyone this is probably the most enjoyable update yet since iv owned the car

i decided to tax the car earlier this month, as you know iv been recovering from a broken ankle since August and im now finally not far off being recovered.

anyway yesterday was the day that the car finally got to go out for a bit of a drive, i didnt really go on a big drive as such as iv got take it easy with how much i do driving wise still. I probably did a total of around 20 miles went to put some super unleaded in her first thing, then went to pick my son up from nursery and visited my parents in the evening

i must say i was very impressed with how the car drove and it certainly felt like it enjoyed being out having some cobwebs shaken off it, this might sound weird but when i pulled the car back in drive/garage it sounded much happier/healthier

I am hoping to use it a bit more over winter if the snow and grit stays away anyway and id like to get the scorpion rear box fitted and pop her on a set of rollers to see whats what power/fuelling wise etc.

We are off to the cholmondeley castle rallyfest on saturday (part of the wales gb wrc) im undecided if to go in the fiesta yet as its a bit of a drive and ill be doing alot of walking about so my ankle will be twice the size of normal

Owning 3 cars I feel is a waste, I've plowed about 3000 into the car and I've only done about 4,000 miles in it. Get it sorted and let it go. Mind you I'm not in a rush. I've advertised it for Ł7000. Not putting it on Facebook though.

thats fair enough mate i suppose if its sat about not doing much then it does get a bit off putting and maybe think whats the point of having it.

That's great news with the new business venture and I wish you the best of luck with it!

Make sure you get some pics up of the Escort van when you get it. I know it'll be a work horse but do you have any plans for it???

The Fezz is looking as great as always!!

Lovely looking car and very rare, I remember being in a traffic jam in Guildford in my 1.6 gti and a bloke going the other way in a white RS turbo stopped, winked at me and then smoked the drivers side tyre as he pulled away....I thought my 1.6 was a bit crap that day

so yesterday i managed to finish my job by midday so decided to get a few jobs done on the car.

firstly when fitting the roose ancillary hoses last weekend we noticed the y piece connecting the 2 rear heater hoses was split and eventually just crumbled away so this was what was causing the leak the whole time.
A good member of the fiesta rst owners group on facebook sent me a genuine one free of charge and wouldnt even let me pay for postage (top fella)

It arrived at 2pm yesterday so i was straight out got it fitted onto the car and then re connected the new hoses tightened up etc then topped up the coolant.
Did the usual things ran upto temp etc etc the whole time checking for any leaks and hey presto no leaks anymore

I then decided to take the car for a very short shakedown which ended up being even shorter due to braking down.
luckily i could get the car mostly off the road and had a good dig around, which i fount it to be this connector seems to have lost most of its retaining clip so was working loose enough to make the car lose all power.

I managed to push it back together enough to nurse the car home very slowly, now im in the middle of moving home so 99% of my stuff is at the new place so id got no cable ties etc here.

had a dig around to see what id got just to temp fix it until i go the new home today and here is the result haha

yes that will be a bit of a toothpick which has worked a treat and of course will be removed as soon as i collect my cable ties later on

hi everyone the house move is finally all completed and i moved the fiesta across to the new place on tuesday.

good thing to report that the ancillary hoses and new expansion cap have worked a treat, the downside is now its flagged up another problem from one of the coolant hoses which is really leaking badly.

now this must of been a bit of forward thinking on my part as i actually ordered the 2 coolant hoses that roose motorsport make on the weekend we fitted the ancillary hoses so fingers crossed they will be here within next couple of weeks and i can get on with fitting them.

Another piece to the puzzle bought today for my Fiesta RS Turbo, brand new Pro Alloy double capacity intercooler at half the price all ready for the power increase in a couple of months. Im going to paint the intercooler satin black so it keeps the oe look going on.
Already have beige injectors here and will be purchasing an airtec stage 2 radiator very soon along with an uprated fuel pump.
im as yet undecided on going for a stage 3 set up at MSD on the ofab ecu or purchase a boostmonkeys ofam ecu and get it mapped locally.

Just flicked through thread for first time I think, lovey looking Fiesta fella. I think red with standard wheels is about my favourite FRS of all time.

Glad to hear of another new business doing well
