previous owner had fitted a st170 engine and box and to do this made some changes to the bulkhead/inner wings . Id like to return all this back to original.

it had a mk3 front end fitted previously , but is actually a mk4 1990 g plate so the plans are to put it back how it should ,

so i started looking for a donor shell for the scuttle and inner wings and the bulkhead pieces i need to put in. I found this

so this weeks update

Cut the front of the cabriolet to make in easier to unpick the millions of spot welds holding both inner wings off.

also removed both front wings

so here are the progress pics

then we made a start on unpicking the bulk head

some more pics of the reason we are having to do most of this work .....

now we probably could sort most of that out , but the fact the bulkhead ideally needs changing and the chassis rails are rotten at the front we figured it was best to cut it all off and start again .

also had a nice little road trip down to kent and canvey island to pick up a few bits , 90 spec front bumper , turbo bonnet , all the interior trim apart from the seats , combi rear bumper .

I do like turbo'd combi's, used to be an imperial blue one near my mum and dads!
As for colour, the new focus metallic red is real nice!!
