The wifes 53 plate focus is still on its orginal rear springs.

I will just put standard springs back on it. Not looking forward to the bolts rounding off and seizing.

There is a trick to doing them, one which I haven't mastered yet lol. try not to disturb the inner lower arm to subframe bolt as you will need the camber setting up after.

Depending what spring compressor you have you can do it in situ without undoing any bolts

Right todays antics.

Changed the rear springs. I removed the roll bar links and tried the suspension arms. I knew the bolts would be tight. So plan B, undo the top of the shockers and apply big bar. I got the wife to lever the big bar down as i used a pry bar to remove and refit the springs.

Ive finished the wheels. Ive prepped them so i can fit the tyres without making wheels look even shiter lol.

Glenn you can get an adapter that plugs into the cs port of your ford stereo and that can plug into an mp3 or an ipod - i have one in the golf.

cant remember what is called - they are like 50-60 quid new but you may get lucky like i did on ebay and get a second hand one for less than 20 quid

Lovely job you've done on this. Really does look well.

I look forward to seeing it back on its original wheels, will you be keeping the standard centre caps?

Its got 3 of the standard wheels back on cause one is leaking from the rim. The standard center caps are a bit grotty too.

Im still waiting for a V5 so i have sort of lost interest in the ST at the moment.

Ive been enjoying the cossie on these nice warm days on my journey home. I dont think my neighbours have enjoyed my starting the cossie up at 5.30 in the morning though so i can go to work lol.

Got a wheel bearing for 25 quid and had it fitted in a few hours.

I got rid if the puma cause my mate was selling the ST cheap and also we are expecting our first baby so the ST will be a better car.

The thing with Pumas is that trying to find a good one is hard. Mine was fooking rotton underneath. They go well and it showed up few cars.

So i thought i would update this thread too.

The engine light came on the dash of the ST. I checked the code and found a fault with the rear lambda sensor.

I took the sensor out and found that the end was bent. I suspect the drive shaft must of caught it.

Lucky i had a spare universal one in my tool box from years ago. I just cut the plug off and joined the wires. A nice cheap fix.

Next up i was bored at work so i made a bit of a vent to get more air to the induction pipe.
I cut this section out.

Then made a air induction.
