This is the last update for a while as I'm back in Glasgow now and left the 4i at my folks house. The welding's all finished now and the brakes are bled. I fitted the carpet and seats back in aswell.
Pics: Is it just me or do grey 4i seats always look grubby even when they're mint ?
Boot release I relocated into the centre console as it was just floating about loose previously.
Cossie wheel I'm debating fitting. Might keep it for my Orion though.
Tried on a tail blazer I won on ebay (Daft 80's mod). It looks better on my garage wall than on the car in my opinion :P
Pulled the engine/box/crossmember out of the blue XR4x4 on saturday. Dropped it out the bottom and lifted the car up using the hoist.
Tied a seatbelt round the gearbox and onto the 4i's tow eye. Pulled (ploughed) out onto the concrete beside the car to be dismantled
Engine and box are stashed in the garage and i'll fit the alloy crossmember with the power steering kit when I'm home next!
I drove it for the first time since the LSD was fitted and oh boy! I was grinning ear to ear fish-tailing up the road Just a bit gutted i'll not be able to get near it for a while!
That's her tucked round the back of the house for a few months next to the 24V.
Looking forward to coming home to blitz the last few bits and put some mileage on it before the end of summer.

Late update. The Sierra passed the mot last Friday with no advisories and I've been enjoying driving it. Since then I've changed the ignition switch as it packed up last night. I still have a few things to do before I'm happy with it. Here's how it's looking now. The cosworth wheels are needing refurbishing and I hope to have them on in a week or two. The mudflaps will also be going

Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
nice car and coming on well.
i been looking at these but the early ones appear to have no power steering and i imagine on such a large car it would be really heavy to steer ?

Cheers Roger, I'll admit it can be a chore parking it sometimes but it seems retro-fitting power steering is a pretty easy job.

Wee update on the 4i. Car's been going daily without any hassle. The Escos alloys are on now after becoming impatient waiting to get a go of a shotblaster I just ended up sanding them and gave them a d.i.y refurb for the time being.
I also fitted an uprated diff mount that I bought from Compbrake.
Old and new.
New coilovers are also on the way from GAZ. Can't wait to get them!
Going to give the 24V a check over and a clean soon. Must get an engine stand.
Who to ask for 24v wiring advice? Checked on Ford Power but most of the links and attachments on that site are dead now.

Hello all. Long time no update. Not much to say really... I've still got this but it's been out of action for almost 2 years. Its been sat most of that time untouched due to me being away with work most of the time and not having motivation to look at it when I am home! It has a 24v in it now but i cant get it to start. Ive got fuel and spark 🤔 Ive checked all my earths and all the ign 12v but she wont go. I suspect I've incorrectly fitted the injector loom as it seems you can physically move reach almost all the injectors with any of the plugs. Is anyone on the forum working on BOA's still?
Also, whats the deal with photobucket btw. I tried to upload some pics and its not letting me and suggesting i pay up 😂⁉️
