Sierra XR4x4 2.9 Project temporary reshell...
Hi all,
I went to view a sierra the other day hoping to buy a window seal for mine... Long story short I ended up buying what was left of the bastard thing...
Low mileage 37000 mile car iirc. And I've decided it's going to temporarily reshell my rally car while I weld up the shell and weld in my rollcage, rally bracing, guards etc. So will transfer nearly everything bar the boot and bonnet onto this and make it a whole 100% complete working car, sell what spares I wont use as I have a few boxes of them, and drive this as my second car. The insurance is the same as my first years insurance on a 1.3 metro, and this is a big v6 barge. Which I'm rather looking forward to working on and driving. Plus it means I have less parts to store and I can keep it all clean, working minty mint in the time being.
Although like the cock I am I binned my seat mounts for my bucket seats so will need to make some more or nick them off a friend...
Also, the headlining will be staying for the time being until I get it retrimmed...
Anyway onto pics.
Will update once the shell is home. Will probably start with the 1 or 2 patches of welding it requires, then transfer all running gear, wiring, interior etc into it, bolt it all up, get it running, get it resprayed, and get my bucket seats retrimmed I thinks.

Aye, the headlining is fluffy and lights up so it's rather... Individual. Currently awaiting to get a rear bumper to replace this shagged one and it's ready body wise bar the respray. Will do a few patches of welding, underseal it and assemble it. Be great to be able to piss of everybody around here with a car that looks, sounds and goes like this will.

Aye the V6 does have a lovely engine note too it. Will sound even better with an uprated exhaust
Used to love watching them in the lanes, till they MSA thought it would be clever to ban them (what the fuck were they thinking??)
