Sorry haven't updated we've removed the engine and stripped it down and discovered four melted pistons.

How annoying, especially as it was supposed to have been " safe "
What's the plan Tim?

Yeah a little annoying still haven't even really been able to use the car properly yet and the engines gone bang.

The 200 block is on a 0.5mm overbore so some more positives.

Found some comical bodges on the engine can only assume they were there before. I don't understand why the previous chap spent big money on a Harvey engine and then finished it with whatever they had lying around! Some stupid bodges

Ah mate that's not good!! What sort of bodges did you find? So what's the plan now besides an obvious rebuild?

Engine was dropped off to Harveys a little while ago and hes reported good news. Hes managed to salvage the block so it doesn't have to be bored to a 1mm or be nikasil linered which was the other option.

Recently got suckered into all this borg worner hype and bought a twin scroll tubular manifold, 300sx turbo and ext wastegate with a couple of hundred miles on it which now ive found out is far too big for what I needed. Ummed and arghed on working the engine to suit but cant justify it really. I was happy with it beforehand so just going to change exhaust housing to a 76 for a little more.

Nothing to new the engines with SCS. Ended up changing the spec a little bit and will have a twin scroll tubular manifold, a new 7670 efr turbo and an AS inlet. Jimbos having a little play with cams and see what it will do!

Fantastic looking car

Top mounts look seriously heavy duty. Not that I'm after some, but out of curiousity who made them?

I remember seeing this at brands that day, car was looking awesome round the track buddy.
What power was it on the old setup?
And with what turbo?

Cheers Paul
