Thanks mate.
The brands evening was a good testing session if anything. A few new issues arose which will need sorting. The power steering pump pulley has been bodged on and doesn't sit straight which under heavy load is making the belt jump off! Also need to have the suspension set up had little confidence in it and some rubbing issues!

Actually managed to do some laps on a track day. Car handled like shit then it seems like its melted a piston. Cylinder 2 is 100psi down so over the moon with that! Think its a fuel related problem haven't stripped it down yet but its annoying maybe my own fault not having it remapped since converting it 4wd but was told it was meant to be super safe!Could be an injector fault! Who knows fuel surge no swirl pot. Its an odd one its not as if I was really hacking it round a corner!
Just gives me a chance to sort out the whole car properly once and for all.

Its on pectel T6 it had a check over at SCS and actually turned the boost down and was told it was ultra safe so not sure as to what has happened and why it seems to of melted a piston.

By today's standards the t6 is old hat. Still worth good money second hand and far more capable ecus available for a bit more money. Having seen the Life Racing/ Syvecs working on a few race cars it's quite incredible the amount of constant engine monitoring it can deal with and adjust accordingly, knock control being a major one

Wouldnt say that! Julian godfreys silly expensive engines still use pectel t6. I used to have syvecs on the sierra previously you hear all these fantastic things just like you mention but most dont have all the additional features because of the extra costs

I wouldn't say I know best Mitch but having dealt with various things through the years And been fortunate enough to see some of the latest products from companies and respected tuners you can clearly see where some of the older equipment is far from the best available.
As for Julian I'm quite sure He uses SQ6, the T6 is old, 2 decades old now, ahead of its time for sure but it's quite outdated and definitely not what he would supply on a current rally cross engine.
A Syvecs S6 even in its basic form has all the features you require, Life offer different options so yes you need to add on certain features, I'm not sure how the prices compare at that point but essentially they are the same thing, it's only as good as the person using it though, we once had a well known car through the door on a s6, it was controlling 6 coil packs, 6 injectors, boost, cam and crank, nothing else, totally pointless, any ecu can run a engine, some better than others, it's how it actually deals with situations and controls stuff that makes one stand out from the others

Sorry to hear your hand has been forced into rebuild mode, but it sounds like you were up for it at some point down the line, so it looks sooner rather than later!
I'm loving those carbon floor guards. Sorry if I missed it, but where/who from?
Been looking into maybe getting my Sierra floor moulded to make something like this over the winter...
Cheers
