Good oh you Dean, this car deserves the effort and someone like you to make it a complete stunner. So glad to hear it's all solid bud, that's ALWAYS a bonus matey.
Look forward to seeing it grow over the coming months

Brilliant to know it's solid Dean, tbh a 23-25yr old car will have some rusty parts, I know it stood a lot too so damp/ moisture will do it too
It'll be awesome when complete

good luck with the resto mate
when i done mine underneath all i done to the floor was cleaned and re waxoyled it again and kept the original patina underneath as it came from the factory
they can only be original the once and if it requires no welding i would try keep it standard

All the waxoil is now off after 2 days of steam cleaning what a bas**rd
looks pretty clean few little scabby patches to treat but cannot believe how clean and solid it is under there
Just need a wipe over them ill start rubbing it down and smack some primer on it next week end

ELASTIC BAND
so are you doing all this lying on your back with the car as high as it will go on axle stands?
And you mentioned getting petrol to get it all off underneath? Are you brushing the petrol on, and scrubbing it? if so what you scrubbing it with?

Yes mate in a car port on axle stands soaked areas in petrol them borrowed an industrial steam cleaner from work
Mixture of brushing and wiping with rags using either petrol or white spirit, just use wheel brushes wire brushes etc it's taken 3 days roughly to get every last bit off
