The Chippy's S1 Restoration
Hi everyone, just thought I'd post a new thread for my restoration project starting soon.
I had an S1 many years ago and recently got the itch to get another. After going to see loads of bad examples, I thought the best thing to do is to buy a project and do my own restoration so I know it's done properly using all the correct parts.
I know very little about restoring anything so will be reading the crap out of this forum to help me along the way but any advice will be gratefully received!!
I've bought a car that has a great service history but is currently stripped to a bare shell. I haven't seen it yet, just plenty of photos and information! Bit risky but I have photos of tonnes of receipts and paperwork going back a long time which is what I like when I'm buying an older car.
Anyway, as I say, please do post up any advice which will be of help while the car is completely stripped and thanks in advance, I'm looking forward to this...!!

Hi you'd be better of joining up on the series one turbo forum, More knowledgeable people on there. Plus stuff for sale usually ends up on there first, you can post wanted threads without paying fees.
You could always join up on the RSOC and if you become a member you get free valuation quotes for insurance and discounts too.
