Standard Rear diff with 7" rear axel 3.9 crown wheel & pinion.

Wheel are 18s with 240/40/18 tyres

At 3k rpm im doing 60 mph in 5th gear. As for top end clocks only read 140 mph with the bigger wheels it should be doing around 160/165 mph. It gets there quick enough.
Thanks

Yes on that basis 8k rpm should be 160 mph. I guess on that basis mine will be about 140mph / 150 mph which is what Romain originally thought although Bara says this is sometimes a bit of a guess.

Oppliger said to me motul Gear Competition 75W140 would be perfect for his gearbox. The 75W90 would still be ok.

Great thread, and beautiful car!

The only suggestion I'd make would be to paint the RS in the wheel centre caps the same grey colour as the decals on the wheels!

My car was 1 of the first cars fitted with a aftermarket ecu. Has a Autronics SM2 fitted at the moment.

With the Autronic SM4 or Vipec I'd have to buy the knock control module separately.

You can't add knock control module on to SM2.

With the Emtron it comes with lot more options as standard. I may go mulity throttle bodies and the ECU will help if we decided to have this fitted.

I will wait and see have Rods car revs like and take it from there

Lovely car mate!

What power should it do with a decent clutch in it?

What made you go for the 7670 instead of the 7064?

Cheers Paul

It should see early 500s.

I'm on a 7064 I found it much nicer for part throttle driving and nicer over all below 3.5k than a 7670.

I find mine quite brutal as it comes in very early and boosts so hard, it just takes off up the road in a very in unsocial way, do you find that keeping it pinned in 2 gears leads to some serious speed?

It don't hang around for sure going 2nd up wards in gears its very fast saying that you could be sat at 65ish in 5th and floor it it just picks ups and goes from 5th.

Having the shift lights makes it much more better as you can rev it right up and shift when the red light comes on. You go through the gears in no time.

Yeah, I think I am still changing at the feel point...when it feels insane, I did look at the tell tale the other day and I had changed up at 7000 rpm so not a million miles off

Few bits remaining to get before new ECU gets fitted.
