Last bits back from powder coating.

Cyril (last owner) sponsored me a exhaust heat shield which is getting painted in black heat resistant paint.

Had the banana pod repainted as the finish before was a matt finish looked odd with the rest of the dash.

Had my mate detail the car. Have a new turbo going on EFR 7163 full boost at 33k revs will be . Driving with the EFR 7670 at 1.3 bar has transformed the car this turbo should make it that much better again.

Received new wiring for morettes today from Matt Lewis & smaller turbo hoses in gloss black. The old wiring is corroded in the connectors making headlights play up.

Replacing the Auto Specialist Group A cone filter with the GGR Group A cone filter as the AS one was a mission to fit. GGR one is slightly smaller and should fit easier.

EFR 7670 ready to take off tomorrow to be replaced with EFR 7163

EFR 7670 removed

EFR 7670 next to the 7163 thats going on

New wiring loom fitted for morettes

New turbo fitted

Car's is driving awesome with the new turbo 700rpm sooner on boost and has transformed the way it drives. Next week upping the boost to get over 500bhp looks like 33/3400rpm will see full boost with ease,

So is the new one smaller or bigger? Why is it making power earlier.

Also, how do you set the actuator arm on the waste gate, I.e. What length? I keep meaning to check with Mark as I had to remove mine to get it zircotec coated.

You will have to speak to Mark how its set I ain't a clue. Its the new range of turbo which is small than the 7076 but will do high 500's. What ever is different on it this "KICKS ASS" really happy with it.

It has a diff shape exhaust wheel than yours and is 1mm small wheel and a smaller housing. The comp wheel is 1mm larger than yours.
10mm preload on yours should give you the correct boost.

Thanks Mark, Sorry, I should have looked at this before I dismantled. I have just looked up how to set it the preload at 10mm many thanks

The new turbos sound good, progress is moving these on quickly then....mine will wait until we rebuild the motor and get the intercooler in then.

Sorry for thread hijack. This car just gets better all the time.
