Hi guys, I bought this as a project to give me something to do when business goes quiet. 3dr Cosworth was my first love years ago but I ended up going down the route of breaking Group A and WRC Escort Cosworths (love my job!) I have been very privileged to own many of my dream cars from growing up but my main love has always been the 3dr and will always be very sentimental to me.
After restoring a few rs500's and breaking a few lol, I've decided to have a go at a track car, for the portfolio! I've been lucky enough to end up with my first track car - Graham Goode Racing 3dr. The car raced in the 1991 British touring car championship and was the last ever car to be made chassis 91 001. This is also the sister shell to the Mach 5 rs500 car.
After speaking to Graham Goode personally he invited me down to meet him and to show me the parts he had left from the car after he broke it. I ended up with the original normally aspirated engine with dry sump system, Airbox, ECU, 4 branch manifold along with the exhaust system, tanks, cross member with engine mounts. I was very pleased with the deal he give me and I couldn't say enough good words about him, he took me to his home to see his personal collection of cars and the Mach 5. (The car is in great condition and I was in my element! Lol)
I'm eager to build it up as original as possible so am now on the lookout for the perfect parts.
Hope I haven't bored you too much and I will put some pics up of what I have, I will also upload a pic up of the rs500 Mach 5 as graham was kind enough to let me take a picture.
