Nice to see some old race cars back up and go. This must be easier for you to do, as you got many contacts as a breaker, were to get the right parts, then just an entusiast like me

WOW!!!!!!
What a great project with all those genuine parts.
Would this car have been one of the cars in the ads that graham had on the back page of performance ford in the early 90"s???
Keep the updates coming...

Yesterday i went to see Graham as he had some parts for me, when i arrived at his garage he said he had a gift for me, last time i was there i commented about his time clocks on the wall as i thought they looked cool lol, to my surprise he had a time clock and a watch for me which i thought was nice of him.

He had been going through the parts he has had for years and came across a lot of the parts that came of my car, to say i'm pleased is an understatement.

Now once we had sorted the parts out he had something else for me, he had came across a lot of the original drawings for suspension settings like camber, ride height, wheel base, corner weight, springs, dampers, all these are different for each track they raced on and i have them all Other things like dry sump drawings, premier fuel system drawings and so on. I was chuffed and couldn't believe it i will have to keep them in a safe place so they don't get used as wrapping paper for parts i send lol.

At this point i was taking notes on the mach5 car as im running the car loom, fuel lines and air jack piping in the same place. I asked Graham about the red air jacks in the mach5 as i wanted to use them as well, he had 1 set left and a deal was done and i ended up with them as well so ill be running the same.

Moving on with the rest of the interior, most of what was in my car is now in the mach5, nothing i can't copy though.
I now have a list of the parts i need to make it how it competed in 1991, i need a grey sapphire dash, RS ECU dash cover, Stack 9k rev counter, rach tech oil and water temp gauge, Williams 2" blue seatbelts, Corbeau seat, personal 3 spoke steering wheel, raychem car loom, premier fuel system (might be expensive :'()

I will be looking for some small headlights if anybody can help me out, i'm looking for something 190mm Length,
135mm Depth, anybody any ideas?

And a small battery?

Brand New Genuine Rear Lights.

And my favourite parts are these, Brand New Austin Metro headlights that the GGR Team used, they were small and light this was to keep the weight as low as possible. I bought the bulbs and connectors of the guys as well so Fraser can make my raychem car loom fit to these.

Ultra ultra cool project, and the geometry setups he had are an awesome find!

250bhp from a N/A Cossie is good going too.

Thought people in the know wernt dipping cars anymore as it can cause areas to rot from the inside out where the acid isnt washed away and new paint cant be applied easily like seams and insides of sills ect. Sure you know what your doing, great project will be cool to see it finished

Agreed - dipping is great for Prodive rally cars that get thrown away after a couple of years (and they were known for rotting around box sections etc) but long term it's not "the one"... media blast all the way or good old fashioned elbow grease.

Great to see you have all the old set up paperwork now Mark, I remember reading years ago that Graham had his RS500 road car stolen from Silverstone one race weekend and inside was his briefcase with all the set up notes for the RS500 and it set him back months as a result.

Going to be a fantastic car when its done, I am so glad now you did not listen to me and turn it into a 500 instead
