You're damn right pal. It does make sense and my job easier. I did ask Mark to double the mount plate thickness and fit more vertical gussets and a box in plate on the front. I guess we were on the same lines, just a change of top mount.

few more bits done,just waiting on fuel pump looms and hopefully its not long from starting,got the filler neck and breather hoses fitted
and fuel put in for the first time in years
then was to sort out the wiring, que @Paul RS when we made the battery smaller it was going to be a problem of getting all the positive cables on so i went looking on ebay for something and found this vag group to the rescue
so we decided were was the best place to put it and it sits perfectly in front of breather tank battery and fuse box out again ffs
holes drilled
mounted in place and the cables come out of it nice and neatly
and fuel put in for the first time in years

In the fuel system i see you have a non standard filter. Where do you get them from and are they replaceable or cleanable.

fuel pump loom and the last few bits of my engine loom arrived yesterday
got the battery lives finished
cables through bulkhead,theres a lot of wiring and this is as neat as we can get it
and finally,it cranks over,just need to finish wiring fuel pumps and gap sensors so fingered crossed it will be running next time
