Default Focus estate sleep

Iam new to this forum but not new to messing with cars haha. I've had a mk1 focus estate 1.6 for a while now and up until the last month or so it's been my work horse. But I started to like it more than just a horse so I started spending little bits of money on it, cheap an nasty coilovers, rs2000 5 spoke 15" wheels and a sponge the only thing that was bugging me was the lack of get up and go the 1.6 se motor had and so I set out to find what I had lying about instead of actually buying anything. So I turned to my sorned 200brake prelude and thought that's my best bet. So.... For the last 6 or so weeks I've been living in my unit next to my tools, welding gear and grinder lol.
She's 90% complete.... Just waiting on a few 2nd hand bits off the old Bay and hopefully September is the month she sets out on the road again.
I've got tones of pictures on my phone but only a few on my pad which is what Iam using right now. So this picture is probably one of the last ones off the pile.

Looks cool. Is it still on original subframe or did you use the Honda one? Bet the biggest nightmare was the gearbox being on the opposite side!

It's still the original frame just slightly modded for the honda engine mounts. Had to make them and the torque mount underneath had to be moved over towards the drivers side. I've still used the focus torque mount so that I can replace it with poly at a later date. Both gear boxes are cable shift so that wasn't to bad. I used the honda cables and just had to cut out the gear shift mount out of the honda and weld it to the focus. It sits about 2 inches further back than the original focus shifter which isn't a problem because the hand brake still has enough room to sit flat.
Having the servo on the drivers side helped as well, loads of room. Was very surprised that it fitted. The sump is higher than the subframe and the cam cover is lower than the bonnet. No one will ever no had to cut out all of the passenger side gearbox mount and battery tray. No big loss.

Well Iam using the prelude clocks so I new that all the clocks would work. I modified the dash and it looks so factory you wouldn't even no. Well happy. Sorry I've been abit quite with pics and comments.
She started up the other day after weeks of modifying the loom. It's only running on the manifold no exhaust, that's next job whenever I can get down to the unit.

Hey. Not posted anything since September last year about my honda h22 powered mk1 focus estate. I finished her and she drove loads better than expected. You can feel the weight difference in the engines but no where near as much as you'd think, the cut and welded shafts held up grate and She made 177 on a generic base map which is rookie numbers I no for one of these engines but I was plenty happy even at that. Now I've been wanting to turbo something for years and after 2 may be 3 seconds of thinking about it I came to the conclusion that it was going to be this thing. So since November I've been busy in the unit making a T04e turbo fit in the bay with great success. It's a low boost conversion for now which is fine for these motors and I went out in her last Saturday and it's mental. I've got a mapping sesh at the end of March so il let you no what low boost means in bhp. Not got a clue what to expect but it feels like an easy 230 (don't quote me lol) knowing my luck it'll be 181 lol. Here's 2 pics for now watch this space haha

Haha I new someone would pick up on that lol. That's were the battery is suppose to be. The battery tray I made has part of the engine mount built in, the grips are there for support lol

right..... mapping sesh complete. 4 hours later at efi parts in Runcorn and shes running awesome. she made 239bhp and 261ft/lb at 10psi.
with the short ratios of the prelude box, the ally flywheel and the little 15'' wheels she picks up great. need to go out now and find something fruity to chase lol.
