Default 1.6 carb cvh engine

Hi guys just fitted a 1.6 cvh engine in my 1.3 popular and it has an auto choke on the carb but first thing in the morning it runs like a pig untill it has warmed up. And also seems to take abit of time for the choke to come off. Is there any one out there with some advice.

No mate not a vv. Why not just put a twin carb system so that way you get more power.

To go twin carb. You need to go on burton power. And get a twin carb minifold for weber 40's. The carbs them self can be expensive but you can get round this by geting second on off ebay. Then you need a throttle link system. And then have them set up on rolling road. But would give you more power and sound better.

mines got the autochoke - pain in the arse to be honest. runs like a sack for the first few mins, then revs at around 1800 until its up to temp, then blip the throttle for it to settle back down. not a fan of the cvh anyway lol
