That battery mount is beautiful! Was it milled out? Where did you do it? Car's nice too! lol. Loved the look with the cossie wheels! They're timeless IMO. Bonnet will look better back in blue for sure! What you've done with the dash now is more like what I'd go for. With all the crap stripped out of them they don't weigh a great deal and do make the car look a lot more 'finished'. More of a sleeper that way too Keep up the good work!

Cheers Tim! Short-term plan is to get new tyres and play around with suspension. Longer-term plan is more power, I'd be happy with 250bhp.

Thanks Sridgett

Thanks Craig, yeah its CNC milled. I've got my own CNC. I keep meaning to paint the bonnet - 4 years later and its still black. One day!

No, I've got a workshop. My milling machine is 1000 x 500 & I've also got a 4 axis lathe. I'd love to have a machine shop at home but I can't get 10 tons of machinery in my flat

Interested in the plastic trim panel idea. How much was the material for that? What thickness did you use?

I need to make some rear quarter trim panels for my rally car but carbon seems a very expensive option given that it does nothing to make the car any better!

Thats exactly what I though, the price of having carbon quarters was just something I couldn't justify! All in they work out at about Ł60. I used 3mm.

Over the past few months I've mainly been trying to work out why my oil smells like petrol and why the idle has been rubbish, so obviously I've not been driving it much. Changing the plugs, leads and coil pack didn't do much. Adding extra earth straps did help a little but again didn't solve the problem! I think I should have just got a big drum of oil with the amount of times I've changed it in the last 1 to 2 months. I think I've finally figured it out...

I believe it a faulty TPS, only noticed that the throttle position was bouncing around between 0 - 6 when idling (closed throttle). Probably would have noticed it sooner had I added the readout to the Dash2 sooner.

I decided that I should probably change my tyres. They were 195/40R16 before but they just didn't feel right may be due to the slight stretch and the very low profile. Gone for the same tyre (Toyo T1R's) but this time 215/40R16. Not had a chance to drive it much to see the difference but visually looks a much better fit.

Assuming the new TPS fixes the overfueling/oil issue. Its basically ready for a shakedown. Finally.

Thanks for reading.
