Zetec turbo cosworth replica
Firstly, yes its a replica its not real, im 20 and cant insure one so this is as close as i can get for now...
This has been an ongoing project for a while now, ive had a couple of zetec turbos going from c20let pistons, c20xe etc and trying a number of specs and learnt most the hard way when it goes wrong
Currently 2000 miles into a fully forged build, ive got the 400bhp number in my head but wanted to get it running and all the "teething problems" out of the way then start moving onto getting power from it.
Body is a mk5 escort, obviously with the cosworth kit, genuine bumpers, carbon splitter, and genuine lower splitter, rear quarters meet the lower spoiler and the wheels are actually in the centre of the arches some bits of the bodywork are a bit scuffed as the bloke before me stored it in a "shed" full of wood leaning against it, (i did have to climb through the spoiler, over the roof and down the bonnet to get to the front)
Spec wise
stripped back (carpet down to tidy things up a bit)
corbeau revolution seats
sparco 3 point harnesses
300mm front brakes
270 rear brakes
avo coilovers
17 revolution millennium wheels
Engine wise..
2.0 zetec turbo
pec pistons and rods
kent springs
standard head & cams
tubular manifold
t34.63 turbo
mahle motorsport bearings
focus rs inlet
deka 660's with 4 bar pressure
plans are to get the engine running properly, (coolant pressurising) and couple of anoying little things, then port and polish head, ask crazycage very niceley to make a exhaust manifold and new inlet
get up to about 400bhp and just enjoy the car!
the temptation of some masive brakes and a respray is getting to me but i do want to get the engine running properly and get the power before i throw more money at the shell
couple of pics but will update with some proper ones later on
