Hi all.

I've done a bit more work to the car over the past week.

T'cuting the rear wing



T'cuting half the boot.



And test fiting new resprayed matt black rear bumper. (sorry about the mess in front of the car lol)



I will do some more to the car tomorrow if not raining so will do some more updates

The valance was well rough so sanded it down.



Will be ready for primer and paint 2moro.

Right so the valance is done.

Primer.



After 2 coats of paint.



After removal of masking tape and old MCN paper.lol








This is the 1st time i've ever sprayed anything like this so im chufed with how its come out.

Next thing to do as you can see is the wing.

Reminds me of my fiesta it was a 950 cc popular plus in same red I remember one summer me and my dad spaying it up and derusting it I had my wheels of at time and someone got around back off house and nicked mums bike but left the pepper pots lol I laughed as it wasnt that great of bike but it was fact that the wheels was worth more keep up good work

Well a bit more has been done to the car. It's staring to look like a car again.lol

Repainted the front wing.



After removal of the masking tape. As you can see there is a small colour difference. But that wing is faded.



After some t-cuting and a coat of polish. And refiting the bumper,now matt black.



Towing point now also matt black.



Couple of quick shot's from the front and back.





Just the fooked up door to do next.

Also got a cover for it as been said where in for a bad winter.

Been a while since i've done any work to the the fezz, but though i would do the battery tray today!

After cutting it out, revealed a big rust hole in the inner wing!

will make a new battery try at work, weld up the inner wing etc.........

Great project mate I have always wanted a mk1 or mk2 fiesta to tinker with.


Certainly like these projects as opposed to a 'chuck a blank cheque at a tuner' type project!!

Cheers mate, yeah there a great little car to work on. My new plan is to build a series "x" 1100 engine for it, it won't have as much power as some mk2's but it will be different! And still good for 100 odd bhp.

Well after a long time i have done some work to my Fiesta, I fixed the hole buy the window, still not finished yet though

The in primer to stop it rusting during the week while I can't work on the car



That's about it for now. I will fix the inperfections during next week end probably

Evening all. Well recently thought I'd pop in to say hello and see what was going on. I must say I was so happy to see the forum was still going strong I thought I'd update this thread. Despite having a few nicer cars these days I still have this old banger. Here is what's been going on.....

First a lot of welding and rust repair

New front panel and test fit of wings...



Touch up of passenger sill and door pillar



And this is how it sits now. Its had to find the time to work on it these days with work and all that. But it will get there
