The greenhouse only runs

Started up fine with no noisy tappets after getting the timing right lol, it was 90d out. The dizzy that was already in this engine was used and not checked before we tried to start it. I couldn't believe how good it sounded after being in my garage for 7 months.

Any engine would b quite with that amount of oil pressure when cold.

I was always told too much oil pressure in a yb is not always best as it fills top end up but cannot drain back to the sump quick enough thru the 20 mm return on back of block. Hence why some big power pintos had extra returns plumbed in from head to block externally..

I could b talking shite tho lol

Bloody good tho its not a std lump im guessing

Correct Paul there are several mods that need to be done to run a high pressure pump successfully ! When I see a engine forsale bragging a high pressure pump I do think I wonder how close thats got to spinning a bearing

Just got home from America.

The power brakes was wired up and the car came home before I went away on holiday.

Needs a MOT still which should be done next week.

Well the greenhouse is booked in for a MOT on Wednesday.

I know it needs 1 new rear caliper, but I have ordered a pair.

Lets hope that's all it needs.

Coming along well, have you got to get it mapped again to suit the new engine?

Wow. I didnt even know you had it running. Nice one matey.

You need a freindly mot tester like ive got. If the cars i take to him were gonna fail he just tells me to get the work done. He had only ever failed 2 cars ive took to him over the years.
