You should have took pictures of where every thing went. That big plug you have in the pic even I don't have one of them.Have a look at the wires properly the wires can only stretch so far and can only plug in one place

Default Tidy Up Time

Right its time to sort my car out, i have a budget of Ł2k and with that i would like to sort out the suspension, drive train, engine and other acc's.

Suspension -

Im not sure weather to buy a full shock and spring set off ebay for Ł200 or just buy some lowering springs, im looking for a stiffer ride, something that will stop the body roll.

Engine -

Right im getting the cam cover custom re built free of charge, possible upgrading the cams, im getting some hi spec HT leads, new water pump, replacing all gaskets, re building the inlet manifold with all new parts

Brakes -

Im going to re build the rear standard brakes and im going to put puma calipers on the front with drilled and grooved discs, im going to remove the brake master cylinder and put a pedal box in, run new braided lines to front and rear brakes with a hydro handbrake.

Fuel -

Im going replace the fuel pump with a new one and run new fuel lines to the fuel rail and put a fuel pressure regulator in.

Drivetrain -

New drive shafts, rebuild subframe with new bushes, re build rear axle with new bushes

Anything else i should have a look at??

will be starting on it in a few weeks

Just as well as your current interior loom will but if you want the easiest buy a 1.7 loom so then you only have the tail lights to play with.

right i dont have a f#####g clue what has gone wrong but here goes, i put the engine back (puma 1.7) in plumed it all up filled it up with oil and water and the started it (i primed it a few times first) it ran sweet as a nut for about 10 secnds then cut out since then 2 days ago i have not been able to get it to fire, we have new plugs, plenty of spark, we have compresion, fuel in the cylinders, turns over fine just will not fire!!

when i have the engine out it was jetted off and left to dry in the sun for a few days, i replaced the fuel lines with some 8mm braided fuel line, new lambda sensor new tps new idle control valve, new maf

fuel is definatley coming through just cant for the life of me figure out what is causing this, stripped the whole injection system and intake manifold and checked everything

i have the intake manifold and engine mounts powder coated could that cause this, like no earth or something?
