My Fiesta RS1800
Hi all,
I'm a relatively new member although I have read a few of the other mod and resto projects and have been able to use some helpful tips I've found.
I've not had my fezzy very long but thought I would post some pic's of my restoration.
I had been looking for an xr3i or mk3 escort RS1600 when I stumbled across the fiesta on ebay and realised it was in plymouth where I live! BONUS, grab my best mate who happens to be a mechanic with MOT license and go av a look!!
The car is an L reg 1994 pacifica blue RS1800 with 137,000 miles on the clock Been standing since 1998 well that's what the tax disc says.
Interior: full recaro in very good original condition, original cassette/radio. Even the bolster pads that go in the pockets on the front seats unused and still wrapped in the glove box.
Outside of the car: been resprayed not very well with lacquer peeling off in places, couple of dents dotted about, doors have been delocked, drivers sill phooked Both rear wheel arches, the filler cap surround and a rusty rear panel.
underneath: brake pipes required, couple of patches for MOT, and as it's been standing a while may as well replace bushes, track rod ends, wishbones..........
Other than that the car is an original un modded specimen.
I paid Him £100 deposit there and then. Dolly'd it home the following evening with a receipt for £600 and a huge smile on my face!

This is how you post pics using your phone but its similar to a computer. Select the img box and copy it. They paste onto her. But first you will have to make a photobucket account.

thanks mate, I've seen worse on 10 year old cars, considering it's had 20 years of salty west country weather it isn't doing too bad, Can't wait to drive it!

cheers mate , I can't let this one die, The majority of the bodywork is done I'm on filler stage at the mo. It takes it's time as the deal is: I be a dad sunday to friday and I get to play with my toys all day saturday! I have the time and a limited budget I'm hoping to have the car all done and MOT'd for £1000 and so far I'm about £150 under.
