It's about time i started a thread on here

I bought it with a rover v8 lump and 3 speed auto fitted ,I Never liked Rover engines so it was binned off leaving a huge hole ,

Some great work there , best thing you could have done is bin the V8 !

I have a x flow powered mk1 as well , gotta love a Tina .

I have had the engine and type 9 in mocked up ,Im hoping to get the bay finished next so i can get the ecu wiring etc sorted ,While i prep the whole car for paint


I re fabbed the exhaust manifold from a kit car manifold that had a zetec plate
Welded to it already


Should do for now ,

lotus colours will look good.

I've always fancied one in a nice deep metalic colour? black, a dark grey or maybe the aubergine they made the escort cosworths in?

Im obsessed with Mk1 Lotus cortina's ,I missed the bargain days
So for now this will be a clone ,Probably faster
And less worry if i damage it,I have another squirreled away
But it is a 2 door GT that is white also . Not to sure about metalics
But would be nice to see some different flavours ,The Lotus boys will hate this though
As it is no Lotus ...

Loads more done ,Will upload pictures but it all looks the same ,Sanding filling sanding filling ZZzzzz
Off sick as well so really slow progress ,Picked up some better seats off ebay ,That wont need re-covering Leather
They were too cheap to pass up and have runners fitted
Anyone know if the rears will fit ?

Ready to etch now,The door wells took me hours ,Worth it though,Pics of that to come as it started hail stoning ,I had to remove loads of top rust off the top of the panels after the hail etc,I had not noticed the big clouds above grrrr

Stripped back everything !All in etch on the outside now,Shows me the low spots nicely,Few bits more ,Then it could be colour time !
