I've not taken the block out or apart yet ill do it over the next few weeks I'm in no rush as I knew I'd need a block crank pistons and rods so just wanted to see if the head was ok!
But Ill strip the rest on the off chance the crank is ok lol
It will get fixed so I'm not too fussed as I can build a better engine now mate

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Ouch never nice to see this sort of thing, i'd be keeping that block though and getting it nikersil linered (as long as everything is OK in the crank area) as all the bits where it's damage gets removed anyway, looks like you already have 6 long studs fitted so only another 4 to get done and you know the history of the block then, no surprises.

Bit of a small step but as I had it to hand I dropped my head off to get that sorted ready to go back on so hopefully all it will need is new seats cut new valve guides and a skim also 4 new valves.

No not yet mate I've not had time I'll do it in January now.
My head is done and I've a new block things will start moving on a few months into next year. Other than silly little bits like move the battery to the boot to make space for my new breather set up and fit a hydrolic clutch set up

Very small up date as ill not really get into it until a few months into next year. But my head is re built and ive a new block. I picked up the block today from the paint strippers so its ready to paint black. ill drop it off at m.a.d in January for long studs liners and oil jets. also painted the rocker cover and fitted a dash 10 fitting for my new breather set up while it was to hand

I went up there the other week I see the stuff mate he has so much money's worth of parts kicking around it's un real.
He opened his locker and there was 7 cranks in there all baged up with paper work from being checked over! I see the mountune and rs500 block as well and he had a new set of longer arrow rods it's crazy the money he must in bits fuck knows why he don't just sell it all pile of sumps loads of rocker covers big wing sumps all sorts

On average a fulla engine lasts 2 weeks & has 200bhp less than he states so he needs all those parts .

See this is the thing with day lol he told me and others it was a Joe Stevens engine! He showed me a dyno sheet as well for just over 700bhp but it looked to have no power down low and was running hardly any boost

Well from what remember he built one himself and field motorsport mapped it and it blew up then he got blue smoke to do one and that gave up in 20 mins then got field to do another and that shit itself on its first track day then he had jimbo do one and its still sat where it should be and doing well ! But here is the thing all the other engines were 7.2 million bhp and infinity torque but the scs one was 600bhp lol and thats the one that still works

Cams show no signs of damage but it did bend 4 valves turbo looks fine it had oil pressure when it stopped. I've not stripped the block yet and it's still in the car as work has given me no time. Early January I'll pull it out take it too work and strip it
