Default Saph glx budget zetec build (non cosworth)

Here is my new winter run about I bought it 2 weeks ago an eBay bargain at £560
It's a 1800 cvh glx model 90 spec so has a few random extras .

Plan is to tidy it up and keep it standard looking no cosworth rep here!

It was looking a bit sorry itself when I picked it up , the paint was really faded and dirt all over.

The pictures of when I bought it made it look better than it was .

So after a full days work,
-rinsed with hose
- washed with tfr and washing up liquid lol
- clay bar
- dried it all and masked up
- mopped with g10
-then hand polished with super redone auto glym
- dodo hard diamond white wax

Was the longest process I have ever done but i am very happy with the results and looks very fresh now .

It has some horrible 17" wheels which I'm getting rid of to replace with 2wd Saff wheels
It's also got a loud peco exhaust on it which is also blowing haha, so that's coming off to be replaced with a standard system. I don't want any noise , I've got my 4x4 3door for that!

Interior is the cleanest I've seen and needs nothing changing except for the stering which is a bit fooked as the rubber has come away from the metal . So I'll be changing that for a spare rs 3 spoke I have ,

Number plates ...... Well there gay!!
I've got a set made up standard font to go on.

The last bit well .. I'm not saying to much yet but I'll be swapping the engine over the winter for something else but won't be reveling yet

right well over the past few weeks i have been gathereing bits for the engine swap.

im going to be putting a 2 litre zetec in the old girl. !!

i currently have near enough everything to the swap, im going to be running full factory injection so itll be a lovely daily runner with a bit of poke

non pats loom with a DEEP ecu

2.0 zetec

rs1800 HO INLET

need to get a ashley 4 branch and a injection tank.
my old man is a bit of a wizard with wiring so he is sorting out the plug and play loom with relays and fuses

luckly enough i have the correct engine mounts and sump on the 1800 cvh

im going to go through this step by step as a budget build to help anyone who might fancy doing the same
