Mk4 Escort Van Project
I think i posted this is the wrong thread before so here it is now
Hello
I've been a member of this forum for a while now but am yet to make any real posts so this is my first.
I have a g reg escort bonus van, 1.4 standard engine, was white but has been resprayed grey and black by previous owner.
I bought it last year for £750 and have easily put that back into it on minor things and fix ups, eg the exhaust broke off twice in different places, that sort of thing.its just gone trough the MOT and all is well, plus I've just got a new job that doesn't require me to use it as a work van anymore so it seems time to start making it abit better.
I've installed a new soundsystem, begun to sort out the back interior, I've sprayed up the steels to make it look abit better than it did, but I'm looking for some help and ideas on what to do/how to do it.
I've got a fairly limited budget so I can't be affording no new engines or anything at the moment, but I definately want to get some new wheels and lower it, but there is my first problem, how do I go about lowering it?! I've read all about it online but I still am unsure about getting it done, I know it involves some axle flipping because of the leaf springs but I don't know anyone that can help me
So if anyone has any helpful ideas, or even spare old parts they think would go well, let me know and ill get on it
Cheers, Joe
