Caliper Bolts working loose
Hi, just about finished my 3dr now just ironing out the teething troubles after a 17 year lay up. I have now after only 100 miles had to stop and retighten my caliper bolt on the o/s/f wheel on two occasions. Firstly wondered if anyone else had this issue and secondly i was thinking of re fitting using loctite just wondered if any other suggestions.

An just use a dab on one side of the thread or you'll never get them open again. If you ever want to remove caliper in future. Threads on bolt and caliper bracket look ok then?

Thanks for all your replies. All threads ect all in perfect order, tightens up perfect but just seems to work free. I have never had this issue before and usually copper grease all fittings to help with removal later which is why i was unsure as to the use of loctite on something i know will cause me hassle later.
Would love to put some pics up but only seem to be able to put in my gallery but if any one can tell me where im going wrong i will add some.

I'm Finding My Feet Here Now
never had to use lock tight on our competition car. but most road cars do use a lock tight, probably use red high strength locktight. blue locktight been standard.
we use a locking washer. wurth do a nord-lock washer which are really good.
shnorr washers work well too.
one thing to check is that all mating faces are free of paint. people think its a good idea to paint everything, heat from the brakes can coarse the paint to go soft leading to loose bolts

Yea stick with blue locktite: notice it's only on one side of the threads. Hope this helps.
