more pics i normally paint my own stuff , but ive never painted c,o,b , ive done the filling and prep getting done this week owen nw
washed down tinys beetle , to get ready for a bit of polishing then done the escort , next thing i started stripping it , of with the lights etc , i then put a lenght of rope around the end of the bumper ps, which had been pushed in while being shipped , don t ask , i then put in around my gate post , i fed a length of round bar through the rope , and started turning this around twisting the rope , the car started sliding so i jammed a heavey post on the side of the ps rear wheel and over the the base of the post ,stopping the car from moving , twisting it gently it pulled the bumper end out attached to the quarter panel , and pulled most of the stressed metal out , . i then removed the tank and got good access to the back of the panel , using the hammer and dollies bet out the last of the damage , i stripped the rest of the back end fixing and grinding any thing i found , WHICH WAS VERY LITTLE , have a look owen nw

the last couple of days ive been puttering round the garage , flattened the whole car with 320 wet dry then 800 , then blew in the primer ed areas with some build up paint . a couple of very small bits reacted , so i had to re flatten , and re prime using primer activator and NO thinners , i found a few marks i missed on the locking panel so i stoppered them , . i am not used to working with clear over base so a friend of mine is going to do it for me next week in his oven at his paint shop , LEAVE IT TO THEM THAT NO , lol i no my place , so i ve made a start on cleaning the inside of the bumpers , and painting them with 2k black as well as the petrol tank , , i also painted the 2 well at he back of the car , too .
