advice with motorsport shell build
hi everyone. hopefully I can rack your brains for some advice. I've just purchased a escos built from a motorsport shell, it has been issued a chassis number by vosa. the next step is to go for the IVA test. apparently I now have to strip the car back to shell and take photos to document the build from scratch. has anyone gone through this process or advise on such things as how far I will need to strip it down etc and any key info I'll need to go through it and to pass the IVA...thanks

It seemed a good buy this one, I was looking at it myself.
I have never done one before to be honest but I'm assuming the guy took no pics when he built it?
It may be worth ringing vosa as it seems a lot of work to strip it back so you can photo it for them. Also I don't really see the point in the photos as they will go through it with a fine tooth Combe anyway and the photos you have may not necessarily be of said car, how would they know?

thanks rich
this is my predicament. they guy said you'll have to strip doors boot bumpers etc but I've since been onto someone at dvla who wasn't perfectly clear. just that it's got to be bare shell with steering rack/ rolling shell. so I'm presuming everything has to come out even loom.
I have the same thoughts as you, why strip down just for photo documentation when it will have stringent tests to go through anyway.!
