P100 Rescue!
Hello!
New to the site, bit of a noob! so be nice More at home fixing up motorbikes but just bought myself a P100, she needs alot of love but I'm in it for the long run! I believe its been used as a drag car at some point (guessing by the mental stance and set up - pics to follow!!) She's got a 2.8 V6 Cologne heart in her which is a little rough but runs ok... with a little persuasion!
First things first I need to lift the front end (currently about 2 inch off the floor!) I'm gonna put some new springs/shocks on her cause on inspection I think her previous owner just cut the springs down to about 2 coils been looking at a few things but what do you guys suggest? you can get some standard xr4 springs/shocks on ebay for not alot of money - will these fit straight on? thinking they'll be strong enough to hold the weight of the lump properly and a little lower to give a nicer look than returning to standard. Thanks in advance!! Ben.

Mate, yours looks like its going to be awesome! Had a good look around mine last night.. Funnily enough found some rust! And then some more rust! All the outer bodywork seems to be fairly good bar the front bumper which is knackered... Few small holes underneath sigh! But on the plus side had a good play with the carb set up and put some fresh fuel in her and she ticks over now! not all is lost! Desperately need to sort the front suspension out, subframe is about 2 inch off the floor at the front nightmare to negotiate through works yard (where she's living ATM)!

You need to host them on an image site like photobucket, once you upload them to there, there will be a url that displays under the picture and you copy and paste them into that little box that's asking for an url

Sorry! haven't updated in a while... Since I last did I've stripped the engine, relapped all the valves, replaced all the gaskets obv. Had to weld the baffle back together in the sump as it had snapped... and loads of other stuff i cant remember now but shes all put back together looking perty on an engine stand in the the corner waiting for me to crack on with the rest... Also viscous fan binned! (if anyone wants it and in the teesside area - your welcome to it).
AND AS SHE STANDS NOW!!!

Looks alright! A capri rear axle is a nice upgrade, all sierra suspension will fit on the front.
Its a little more work to get the sierra rear suspension on the back, but I and many others have done it.
the 24v cossy V6 is a good upgrade from the V6 you have now, but again, all sierra engines will fit.

For a casual, thep100 has the original engine SOHC 2.0???
I need to find a documentation of P100 to legalize my project in Spain. Here only 1.8TD engine was soldand I need a proof that it is also marketed with2.0 petrol engine.
