Default bargy's bonus

Thought i would start a thread on my first ever project car. after owning a mk6 fiesta for my first 8 months of driving i decided i wanted to look for an older car, something modifiable cheap and simple so i decided on a 1.3 escort bonus due to my age (18) at the time, i found a really solid car in august 2011 that had tax and mot for £370 so me and my dad drove straight to Essex to buy it. since then i have fitted rs turbo bumpers, skirts, engine, gearbox, escort cosworth wheels budget shocks and had the car painted mallard green here are some pics of the work i have done so far

rust arch

cut out

new metal

dont know why i did this seemed like a good idea at the time as id seen a few race cars have the spare wheel well cut out but wish i never did it when it came to fitting the fuel pump time

cut out rear bumper

boot lock smoothed

kit fitted

satin blacked engine bay

off for paint

how the car looks now

all in all im really pleased with how its turned out, but there's a lot of things i wish i had done differently, like buying a good clutch, painting the engine bay properly, fitting good suspension and brakes ! after nearly a years driving the car needs a new clutch and has a bad oil leak so i have decided im going to take the engine out next, paint the bay get some more power while its out and upgrade the suspension and brakes when it all goes back together, going to need a lot of advise and help so any comments and advise would be much appreciated.
cheers

Whack some MK3 mondeo calipers/carriers and 300mm ST170 discs (you'll have to buy a kit off eBay for roughly £15 which is to space it and a drill bit)
