Picked some more parts up on Friday, cheers Mark. Also got the last few little mountings built. One for the oil cooler unit, another for pressure release unit and modified the wiper mounting. Not much more to do then its ready for spraying
First update for a while as I've been away working in New Zealand, shame to be home really:/ got nothing done to the car because of this, but the good news is, it's booked into Kartec for the 2nd of June and then decals a few weeks after that, so it's all starting to move again hardest part is going to be sourcing all the genuine group a/909 parts needed to finish.
The original one was/is in north Scotland,I only know because I was bidding on a michelin press pack about 10yrs ago,and lost,when I contacted the winner he told me he had the car and loads of memorabilia.
Never heard about this being in aycliffe....and I've lived here 40yrs lol
It's surprising what people have locked up in there barns though, last week I found out a farmer not too far from me has a original works wrc escort locked up in the back of his shed, but he won't sell it, he said he'd get round to doing something to it one day.
Hi, sorry it's been so long without an update, I've been working out in New Zealand for the last year working. But plenty has gone on with the car. It's now been fully sprayed and sealed thanks to Malton Coachworks and it's also had all its stickers put back on thanks to Rick from Dogtooth graphics in Malton.
I'm pretty stoked on how the car is looking even though I haven't seen it in person, but it's coming along slowly and will get there eventually
Not sure how it will progress, bought it to build n use so a reliable set up would be great. It's a long term project car, building it when the budget allows.
