old skool uno turbo
to those how like none fords ,around the same time my other mate picked a fiesta up another good friend picked a uno turbo up
them knowing
me and my love for cars I went to pick it up with the now dead van
it was half matt black half grey
53 tho on clock mint interior totally standard
we started work on a sunday as that's my day off from plumbing job
needed little welding work
front roof
small repair front panel
rear end were bumpers meet quarters
end rear strut tops

ah memory lane, i had a 1.3 ie one of these on a f plate, awesome little car back then i much prefered it to a r5gt quicker aswell.

doors an boot lid painted ,bonnet was benter tha boy george luckly my mate picked up a new old stock one this week
so i will get it sorted

same lad had a red uno years ago I painted black ,and I had a mk1 uno with the wide body kit
bleed valves open great fun ,another friend had a r5 we was always rebuilding the engine

Nice mate, a mate of mine had one of them back in there day, went quite well if i remeber till it blew a core plug and he swapped it, can't remember what for now, couldn't have been as interesting, ha ha ha.

ive only ever been on one uno turbo, friend driving flat out, and i said something didnt feel right at the back, once we got home, god knows how we got home, we removed the side carpet and there was the shock, but no inner arches, the shock was just hanging there lol
great work on that one your doing, hard to find standard nowadays

i know that feeling mate, i had 5 r5gts but once id had the un i never bought another r5 they wernt a patch on the uno imo.
god dam this thread its got me looking at unos now remenising, but where oh where would i put it

Love UNO turbos. I had a 1.0 UNO 45 for my first car and there was a breakers 5 mins away with an UNO turbo in it. I took everything except the engine if it and made mine a rep. Looked ok when I was 17
