Quick update, made a good start on the mapping today. We were at 210bhp at 8000rpm with more to come when we get round to optimising the map but the clutch decided to let go.
We normally use a fixed drive plate but didnt have the flywheel from the s1600's we are going to revert back to this setup.
Unfortunately we are now a day or two behind and need to find a flywheel local.
Were quite happy with how its going ill keep you up to speed

Had a good result today we have picked up a good amount of power playing with cam timing, still more to come and possibly some even more lairy cams to bring us closer to our goal. I have a video of an 8700rpm pull but didnt catch a 9500 pull as was too nervous lol

I did fancy doing a big power turbo route but have a saph cossie to finish for that
What power are you looking for?
Spec is 12.5-1cr
Cams are now of our own spec but are quite a big jump up from the s1600
Nick waples big port big valve head with oversized inserts for 3mm bigger inlet and exhaust valves
S1600 valvetrain
Titan motorsport custom 45mm throttle bodies
Knife edged lightweight crankshaft
Steel rods and forged pistons
S1600 tubular exhaust manifold

I had a 40k mile engine as a base.
That power will be nice, are you doing most of the work yourself?

Trying to do as much as possible myself. Tractor mechanic by trade so have an idea! Never built a car engine before so its all learning.
Spamming your build thread here!! Nice to see an FRP getting an engine it should have had from factory!
