what issues are you having with fueling?? also when i ran my blue one at llandow in sept i leaked gearbox fluid apparently from a breather hose my local garage said. have you ever had this problem? i havent looked at it my self but will be looking for a cure to this happening in silver one

I have never had any issues with the brakes. As you know I take it fairly easy on track but they have always done fine and I have never had any issues with fade. I have slammed on the brakes from decent speeds at Silverstone and they have been fine.

I would really recommed the ferodo ds2500 pads they make a huge difference to the braking power. If you fit them you will feel the difference when you brake hard. I used to pull up too soon when I was first getting used to them.

If the power is upped then I might consider other options but for now I reckon the brake setup I have is spot on.

I have had problems with fuel surge/ starvation a few times on track. This might be more due to my particular car as I have had 3 fuel pumps in the last few years but reckon it might be worth uprating the whole fuel setup.

Never had any problems with leaks other than washer bottle.

Other than that it has been reliable enough on track and it has always got me home. The only problems I have had have been down to my driving rather than because of the car.

Will be keeping an eye on all the focus threads plus valleys fiesta thread so we can all co-ordinate a day at Llandow hopefully as would be good to get them all out on track and despite the distance I find it a decent day out

whats the symptoms of fuel starvation for your car? i have had problems with my silver one since buying it which i think was fuel starvation. only occaisionally when the revs got up it would die flat and would not accelarate until i back off then back on. got a replacment pump but its dated 2002 and mine is 2003 so thinking will it be no better than one i got.

In long corners it starts to surge like the "kangarooing" you get from a dodgy pump basically what you describe. I keep looking at uprated pumps but have never got around to fitting one.
