J18 COS Cosworth rebuild and restoration

Also another tip is to try a few different dealers as there stocking systems are different. One dealer may say its NLA but another can get it back order from Germany.
Failing that, ebay is your friend

Milestone reached on Friday,
I managed to get it going after a few teething problems with oil pressure, fuel pump, starter motor and battery.
All turned out to be schoolboy errors that I don't wish to share
Anyway, it came down off the axle stands on Friday with the help of CozzyJeff, thanks mate, couldn't of done it without you
However, I don't have many pictures as everyone else was taking them
The few I have, still a load of little jobs to do.
Not been washed for 5 years, still looks ok though desperate for a claybar session, you up for it MoonstoneMO

Really not sure what to do now, engine needs running in minimum of 500 miles but it's only insured for fire & theft, no tax, no MOT and the wheels need aligned.
Might put it off until next year now as the summer is drawing to a close and it need to go in for paint and the wheels need refurbing.

It's now got it's own small loom behind the battery and simply plugs in.
I know, I don't know how I've managed tbh, hopefully, extend on the side of the garage so I have some storage and somewhere to work and keep the garage just for the car

On greens with different maps and turbos but the same rolling road ive seen.
333bhp T34/48
329bhp T34/63
347bhp T34/48
337bhp stg 2 T3
360bhp st2 T34/55
As long as its set up right it will do 330 bhp easy.
Top 2 is my cars both engines had over 100k on them.

Managed to do a few jobs on the old girl today as the weather wasn't too cold.
Sourced a new Ford badge for my new steering wheel
and then repainted the horn symbol,
A bit of panel wipe,
and pressed on,
I loaned a steering wheel off CozzyJeff (thanks mate ), might not be to everyone's taste but I like them. I'm keeping all the 4wd stuff so I can swap and change when the mood suits,
Then up on the ramps,
I'd be lost without these,
Had some bit's re zinced as they could have been better,
I noticed a coolant leak whilst it's been stood in the carcoon, located to the thermostat front elbow. The original rubber rings are shite. So I bonded it in with this stuff,
Whilst it was all off I had the chance to re align the belts,
I have after many people commenting on my timing belt cover managed to clean up my original one up good enough to go on,
Sourced fittings,
and then I had to drop the alternator down, remove belts, water pump pulley to fit the lower bolt/peg.
and I found these clips for the 500 crossover pipe,
Then I had a problem with the compomotive centre caps not fully clipping onto the wheel. They would not seat properly, sitting up about 2 mm.
So I popped them off a ground some off
and then they clipped straight on, nice and snug,
